Pastoral summer in Bohinj
I was in Slovenia earlier this summer with my boys on a short break from the city.
It was much needed and very much appreciated. We spent three days around lake Bohinj –
exploring the surroundings, hiking, swimming in the lake, tasting Slovenian cuisine,
enjoying unspoilt nature and each others company. Our trip was short but sweet.
We stayed at Apartments Alpik at lake Bohinj, surrounded by a meadow and next to Savica
river. A perfect place if you’re traveling with children or friends seeking for peace and
quiet and outdoor living. I liked very much a small vegetable garden from which you can
help yourself to herbs and salads. There’s a lot of space for kids to roam around and
a volleyball net for sports enthusiasts. Apartments are modern, clean and very functional.
It was great to be outdoors, in the sun and in the rain. Ukanc is a sleepy little town
blessed with natural beauty and a great location, being just next to the lake Bohinj.
Pastoral summers are the ultimate refresher!
