Hidden in the south of France, beautiful region called Camargue is home to amazing wildlife
including pink flamingos, white horses and black bulls. The whole area is so beautiful that many
people simply want to drive around and enjoy the spectacular scenery of lakes and marshland.
That’s exactly what we did during our visit.
Endless fields of wild flowers, captivating scent, tranquility and the bright blueness of the sky…
those are the beauties of the Camargue. A bit disconnected and empty but it suits my mood.
While in the Camargue…
…drive around for hours and take in the beauty of the region
…discover the Camargue flamingo island and enjoy watching over 340 species of birds
…visit picturesque seaside town Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer and if you happen to be there
in May join the Gypsy’s Pilgrimage, festival of the year
…explore the Camargue by bicycle, on horseback, by 4×4, in horse-drawn carriages, by
cart or on quad-bikes
…visit Museum of the Camargue and learn more about the region and its wildlife
…eat les moules frites
…spend few hours at the beach and learn how to kite-surf
…run through the fields of flowers and get lost between marshland and dunes
