Global village in Dubai

Global city Dubai has a Global Village, a sort of world fair for visitors and shoppers.

This large tourist attraction, leisure and entertainment destination opens its doors

to visitors from October until March. For us living in Dubai Global Village is equally

attractive as it is for tourists, it’s the region’s leading family outdoor destination with a

vast selection of multicultural entertainment and retail options. Over the past 17 years

Global Village attracted millions of visitors. It hosts 37 pavilions and represents more

than 65 world countries. Global village is the theme park for everyone.

Global village attractions

The traditional dhow that takes visitors on tours across Global Village’s lake, World

culture stage that hosts many cultural shows and concerts, The fun fair that offers a

large number of skill games and thrill rides, Kid’s play area and Express train that

provide fun for the little ones and  Dancing fountain with sound, fire and light show,

all together they guarantee an unforgettable experience.

What to buy in Global village

Each of the pavilions showcases a specific nation’s culture and (of course) products.

Here at Global Village you can bargain and buy all sorts of things: shoes and clothes,

jewelry, fur, home accessories, nuts and spices, souvenirs, textiles, honey, gadgets,

toys, sweets, carpets, fashion accessories, pots, beads and so on…the list in endless.

Some favorites: Tunisian pavilion for clay pots and plates; African for leather and

straw bags and home accessories; Yemen for its authentic traditional daggers (khanjas)

and honey;  Jordan for spices and nuts; Afghanistan for silver jewelry and embroidered

textiles; India for colorful fabrics and slippers; Spain for hand made sandals and bags.

Also not to be missed: traditional tasty food!
