Entertaining|Things I do:: GARDEN BBQ PARTY

Garden BBQ party

One of my friends hosted a corporate party (for 25 people) in her home’s garden.

She asked me to do the set up, planning and decorations for the party and I happily

took the challenge. She rented the furniture, all white, and I came up with the theme/

colors for the party. For this party I chose  white and yellow decorations. They’re

elegant, simple and the whole setting looked good in night-time photos. (I was also

in charge of photography that evening)

The idea was to create a cosy garden where people will enjoy gathering with their

colleagues and friends, where everybody will relax and have some fun.

The whole garden was roofed by few paper pompom garlands in white and yellow

and that created new dimension in space, it looked wonderful. There were plenty of

fresh flowers, white baby orchids and hortensias, and instead of using vases I

arranged them in glass bottles (I was lucky to get exclusively for this occasion Elie Saab

Evian limited edition 2014 bottles) which looked funky and stylish. Small white vases

and scented candles were arranged on big tables, as well as big orchid plants in front

of the house and many candles all around the place to create the coziness.

One relaxing corner was set under a tree with hanging jars & candles and a swing for

whoever wished to take a short break from the crowd. Another sitting corner was

decorated with hand-made chandelier, flowers and candles where invitees could go

eat, chat and drink.

Food was fresh and very tasty, nice cocktails were mixed at the bar and music was

as nice and cool as the crowd.  I wish for more parties like this!
